Nogales Baptist Seminary (SEBANO)

Project Profile

Ministry Focus

The Nogales Baptist Seminary, or SEminario BAutista de NOgales – SEBANO is located in the border city of Nogales, Mexico. It was founded in 1957 by Missions Door missionaries with the purpose of training leaders for ministry in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries. To date, graduates of SEBANO have planted more than 200 churches and have gone on to serve as pastors and teachers in a range of ministries across Mexico, the United States, and Central America.

Now more than ever, we are seeing the need for faithful servants of God’s Word, who are prepared for preaching that comes from a serious study of the Scriptures and is supported by a life of holiness.

To meet this need, SEBANO provides a range of educational programs, including a Master’s Degree in Expository Preaching, Bachelor’s Degrees in Theology and Christian Education, as well as Diploma Programs in Biblical Counseling and Christian Leadership. These programs are led by a dedicated team of well-prepared, knowledgeable, and faithful instructors, committed to guiding students throughout their spiritual and academic journey.

Recognizing that most students cannot afford the full cost of ministry training, SEBANO makes this training accessible by asking our students to contribute only about 10% of the actual cost of tuition, room, and board. The rest is made possible through the generosity of ministry partners who believe in equipping leaders to serve the Lord in churches throughout Latin America and beyond.

For all these reasons, SEBANO remains a trusted leader in ministry training and a faithful steward of its resources.

We invite you to be a part of this ministry through prayer and financial support!
